Food Pantry

Sunday June 11th is our next Distribution Date.

Packing in the Fellowship Hall immediately after service.  Because we have added another school to our school partnerships, we will have more boxes to be delivered.  If you are interested in delivering, please contact LaSonya@stbch.org or 615-720-4819.

“My children, let us not love in word or in speech, but in action and truth.”

I John 3:18
Vision: Love motivating action to reach communities in need through our local body and community partners.
Mission: To provide resources, develop relationships, and help meet needs of the communities we serve daily.

We established the STBC Food Bank to help meet the needs of the food insecure in our community – no questions asked, no referrals needed. We recognize that circumstances can change in a moment, so when we are able, we show God our love and gratitude by making deposits in the food bank. If life isn’t going as planned, we can make a food bank withdrawal to feed our family and free-up cash to take care of another need.

We believe each food recipient is created in the image of God, worthy of dignity and respect regardless of race, ethnicity, or socio-economic standing. We want to be generous with food, kindness, grace, and love.

The amazing generosity of our congregation supports the food bank with donations of food and money, and we make every effort  to be good stewards of these provisions.

Because of our partnerships with two local schools, JT Moore and Wright Middle School, we now have a delivery service every second Saturday of the month during the school year, and twice a month during the summer months.

We deliver to families who have been identified by the schools as needing a little extra love each month. We are also able to show love to a Senior Facility in the Nashville area.
